How much would it cost to ship a horse from the states to germany?

My parents have agreed to buy me a horse here in germany and we al have agreed that it would be much cheaper to get one from the states. We are currenly stationed here beause my dad is in the military and might be staying her for 6 more years.
So my question is How much would it cost to ship a horse from the states to germany?

I have a 13 year old horse that used to be used for roping, how can i start him on the barrels?

I would like to use him as a back up barrel horse for high school rodeo. My dad used to use him for heeling but he would always jump to the left, so he gave him to me. I want to teach him the barrel pattern. My main barrel horse is hurt so i need him.

What can I feed a horse with minor colic?

I just now gave the last little bit of my Alfalfa cubes to my other horse while my dad was walking my horse that seems to have a minor case of colic. I don’t want to leave him hungry so I need to know what I can feed him to tide him over for the night until the morning.

Any help would be awesome! Thanks.
Also, how long should we walk them around?

What is the best horse breed for small children?

My four year old is obsessed with horses…My dad has the perfect land with an old barn. We are thinking about in the near future (probably spring) getting him a horse. He doesn’t want a pony, b/c he wants to grow with it. I also have a 2 yr old boy that is possibly heading the same direction. My question is can anyone give me a suggestions on the breed we should look for? And any other tips with small children involved. Thanks !

How often should you feed your horse and give water for him to drink?

My dad has a horse we keep in our backyard inside a stable. He insists on putting a bucket of water in front of him in the morning to allow him to drink until he stops, then puts his food out and brings the bucket back in. We used to leave the bucket in the stall but our horse kicks it down and causes a nasty mess everywhere. At night we do the same thing. Water at first, then food. I just wanted to confirm with someone who knows better that this is the right thing to do to maintain a livestock horse. Thank you

How do I get my parents to buy me a horse?

I have found a wonderful horse. My parents say that they know I am responsible, mature, and committed to owning a horse. Mom had said that she wanted to lease a horse first, so I get to bond with the horse and to see if the horse and I connect. Now she says we aren’t going to, and she won’t tell me why. She and dad said that we can afford a horse, and everything, but she still won’t give. I have tons of horse experience- riding, training, and vet care. I have found an amazing place to board a horse, where we have to pay almost nothing- I just work off most of the board. I am getting certified in trimming and shoeing, so that gets rid of another cost. All my parents have to pay for is the initial cost of the horse which they said they could handle. Please help me!
